DCSU Member

Member, you will be part of our community and allowed to come to all events, meetings, and guest speaker lectures.

Member Responsibilities & Perks

Must attend a weekly meeting to remain an active member
As a Member, you will be part of our community and gain access to all events, meetings, and guest speaker lectures.
Once you are a General Member you can talk to our Exec board about becoming a part of the debate competition team. Competing members will be chosen on performance and skill and debate practice
As a Debate competitor, you will go to training and practice sessions.
Being a Team Member means you will be a part of the competition team and allowed to compete in intercollegiate competitions.
If you are an experienced debater, you may reach out to join the competition team now.

EXEC Board

If you have an interest in being a part of the DSCU team and contributing in a greater way, our Exec board is the place for you. You can hold a position on Exec and not be a part of the debate team if you choose.
You will be able to apply for EXEC once you are already a member.

COMPETITION

Debaters have an extensive travel program. Students are selected for the various tournaments on the basis of their degree of preparation and ability and on the judgment of the coaches that the tournament will be a valuable educational experience. Our goal is to allow each student to achieve to the best of his or her abilities. All members of the team are expected to maintain an outstanding academic record.
